At the end of 2020, mid-50’s couple; Donna a semi-retired primary school specialist Computing Teacher and Simon a Kent schools Technologies Support Engineer, had dedicatedly guided their schools through COVID’s most challenging remote learning years and desperately searched for a secluded retreat.
“We wanted a place we could pull-up the draw bridge to unwind and recharge. Then, once energised had a central base to explore all Spain has to offer; easy access to cultural Granada, Costa Tropical beaches, local traditional villages and festivals, water-sport on the door step, even skiing adventures and most importantly tranquility!”
We found our haven in the Lecrin Valley. Casa Moginar (Mojinar) is an ‘off the grid’ rural Andalusian farmhouse built in 2011, on a unique hillside peninsular location, situated at the end of a private road overlooking Lake Beznar Reservoir with stunning panoramic views.
“We could happily sit on the terrace and look at this view, rolling hills, lapping water – even on the stormiest of days for the next 20 years. We knew we had found our home!”
